Recently we’ve launched new products like KnowledgeENTERPRISE to meet customer demand and lead the market in big data solutions and now we need to add to our business development team to open more doors and close bigger deals.  

The opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Business Development Manager.  This is a role for an inside sales manager with experience building high performing teams.

Almost every company needs awesome inside sales people that can develop connections and generate leads. This is an opportunity to jump into a role where it will be your responsibility to hire and develop this team.

We are a small sales team at Angoss. That means territories aren’t crowded and we win together.  That also means that you have direct access to the product team, chief data scientists and the CEO.  At Angoss, we’re all owners. Who you are and what your career path looks like:

You are an experienced Business Development Manager working in software technology sales. You have experience in a leadership role, acting as a trainer and role model for your team. You want to be on an elite team where you have the autonomy to make a difference, influence the success of Angoss and its customers.

What you will do:

  • Build our team.  You will be tasked with finding and hiring a team of awesome inside sales professionals to create a brand new team at Angoss.
  • Train. You will use Angoss resources to plan and implement a training program for your new team.
  • Monitor, analyse and report. You will work with senior leadership on setting attainable goals for your team and ensuring your team is on pace to exceed those expectations.  This team will be heavily metrics based and the performance of the team will rely on your ability to track and report on these statistics.
  • Lead by example. Once the team is in place, you will also work to increase business by following up on all inbound leads, sales inquiries and marketing responses.
  • Coach. You will provide ongoing mentorship for your team with a focus on skill development and support.
  • Set campaign direction.  You will work with the Lead Generation Manager to ensure every step of each campaign is properly executed and followed up upon.

Our new Business Development Manager has:

  • The education. You have a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • The experience. You have three or more years in a Sales leadership role where you’ve built and/or coached high performing teams in a software company.
  • The sales expertise.  This is a play/coach role.  You’re a leader who has and still can walk the walk.  While you’ll primarily be managing a team of inside sales professionals, you’ll be able to use your exceptional track record as something your team can model their performance after.
  • The ownership and drive. You are motivated by success - both your own and your team’s. You excel at influencing executive decision makers.
  • The communication skills. You have excellent written and verbal skills including expert persuasion abilities. Your presentation skills to all levels of business are outstanding.
